When you write down the goals, always be positive. Also be sure that you don’t start with an impossible goal such as I will meet the man of my dreams today. That might happen but it is usually a disaster waiting to happen. A better goal would be to acknowledge that you are lonely by writing I will make time for recreation with my friends. You never know who you might meet. Write this goal down every day until you start making it happen. After students have focused on their end game, the teacher and students will discuss how this end game can be achieved. These conferences should be one-on-one to keep anyone from being embarrassed.
